A nut flush in poker is the highest possible flush you can make with the given board. A flush means you have five cards of the same suit, and the “nut” version means no one can beat it—unless the board pairs and someone has a full house.
In most cases, the nut flush is made by holding the ace of the suit that matches the board. For example, if the board shows four hearts and you hold the A♥, you’ve got the nut flush—the absolute best possible flush.
It’s a premium hand, and in many situations, you can confidently bet or raise with it—especially when you’re sure no full house or straight flush is possible.
Watch out, though: if the board is paired (like two 9s or two 6s), someone could have a full house and beat your nut flush.
