The flop is a key stage in community card poker games like Texas Hold’em and Omaha. It’s the first three community cards dealt face up in the middle of the table, after the first round of betting.
These three cards are shared by all players and used with their hole cards (the private cards dealt to each player) to make the best five-card hand. The flop is followed by another betting round, then the turn (fourth card) and river (fifth card).
