Chinese Poker is a unique and fast-paced poker variant where each player gets 13 cards and must divide them into three separate poker hands:
The goal is to arrange your cards so that your back hand is the strongest, the middle is second strongest, and the front is the weakest. If your hands are out of order (called a foul), you automatically lose.
Chinese Poker doesn’t use betting rounds like Hold’em or Omaha. Instead, players set their hands face down, reveal them together, and then compare them against each opponent’s hands to score points.
There’s also a popular version called Open-Face Chinese Poker (OFC), where players gradually place their cards face-up and build their hands turn by turn. OFC includes special bonuses for making big hands, especially Fantasyland—a bonus round where you get all 13 cards at once if you qualify.
Chinese Poker is more about card arrangement and strategy than bluffing. It’s great for social games, side action among pros, or just a fun change of pace from traditional poker.
