A face card is a playing card that has a picture or a so-called ‘Face’ rather than a number value. In poker and other card games, the face cards of each suit are king (K), queen (Q), and jack (J). In total, you can find 12 face cards in a standard poker game. It’s worth mentioning that sometimes a ‘Face Card’ can be called a Court Card.
